The Heart, The Emperor of the Internal Organs

In Chinese pharmaceutical the heart is thought to be the most critical of the majority of the inner organs, and is frequently alluded to as the “sovereign.” Its essential capacities are to represent blood and house the shen. In the same way as other Chinese ideas, there is no correct English equal for the word shen. It incorporates various thoughts, including awareness, thought, keenness, knowledge, and comprehension, and additionally the feelings and the spirit. This reflects one of the principal thoughts of Chinese prescription, that our physical body and soul are one, that they are indivisible. Actually, every inner organ has a delegate non-material capacity. Since the heart houses cognizance, be that as it may, it is the ruler.

The heart channel is one of the shorter channels and has just 9 needle therapy focuses on it. It starts in the heart itself and goes down within the arm to the tip of the pinky finger (why heart conditions are some of the time felt in the arm). A portion of the more evident conditions that this channel treats incorporate trunk torment, palpitations, and unpredictable heartbeats. Since the heart houses the feelings (not the cerebrum!), this channel is vital for quieting the shen, treating nervousness and fits of anxiety, and peopling unwind all the more effectively with the goal that they can nod off speedier and rest all the more soundly as the night progressed.

The needle therapy channels are more similar to a vast associated web, with essential pathways and auxiliary branches. For instance, one branch of the heart channel rises to the base of the tongue while another goes up the neck, crosses the cheek, and associates with the tissues encompassing the eye. Since the heart has a place with the fire component, this makes it a perfect channel to needle when there are indications of warmth (torment, redness, aggravation, disease) in these regions like tongue ulcers, sore throats, or bothered eyes.

Travelling With Children

It’s wonderful to see the world through the eyes of a child. There is freshness and wonder which they bring which makes adulthood seem jaded and washed up. Children love to discover new things and places and they are very open in their admiration or disgust. These are some of the reasons why traveling with children is such fun.

This does not mean that there are no challenges when one is traveling with children. These can be overcome however with careful planning and co-operation from the children. There is of course differences in requirements when traveling with a baby, a toddler, a ten year old and a teenager. Each child at different stages brings different challenges.

When traveling with children, one of the most important considerations is keeping the child or children in sight without losing them. This is of course highly dependent on their ages and older children are better able to understand and follow instructions. Younger children may prove more challenging as they require a great deal of attention to meet their physical needs such as feeding and clothing.

Having help is a good way to ensure that you travel successfully with children. Managing more than one child on the train, bus or an aircraft can be difficult if you have no assistance. The degree of difficulty depends on the age and needs of the child. Having the care of one or more children under the age of 8 years as you travel can be challenging.

It is always a good idea to pack games and toys which can entertain and stimulate the minds of the children. Children who are bored are likeliest to find themselves involved in activities which can be troublesome. This includes marking on public walls, frequent visits to rest rooms, fusses with siblings and other challenging behavior. Be sure to bring along their favorite toys, books or games.

Even though they may be very excited to visit new places and make new friends, there is need to ensure that the children have some regularity in their schedule as it relates to their eating and sleeping habits. Feed them substantial, nutritious meals in between activities and encourage them to rest at a specific time each day. On the actual travel days, look for long intervals whilst you wait on your transportation to encourage in between naps. Be prepared to stay up a little longer at bedtime given the interruption in their regular sleeping schedule.

Once you arrive at your destination, encourage the children to participate in physical activities appropriate for their age and development stage. This is a good way for them to use up excess energy and to get a good night’s rest. You will also have the opportunity to get some much needed sleep once they are in bed.

Carry the appropriate equipment and clothing to make your travel time as easy and as stress free as possible. This may mean a stroller, comfortable sneakers or slippers, socks or baby slings. Where necessary make contact with airlines, bus companies or train stations and find out their policies with regard to any special equipment you may need to take along. Traveling with children can be fun and exciting if you plan for it.

Explore Acupuncture to Reduce Facial Paralysis

An associate of mine called, asking some help: would I counsel on his patient who experienced hypersensitivities with clog, watery eyes, and red and irritated skin? When I went into the room, I saw loss of motion of left side all over. Her left eye was practically shut, there was no expression on left side even that she was grinning, her edge of lip was awry to right side and her belt on the neck was considerably greater on the left side. I asked, “What has happened to your face?” She stated, “It is an old damage from a stroke. My ear is continually ringing and the sash on left half of my neck is augmented.” My assessment affirmed my doubt of facial loss of motion. She couldn’t close her left eye and deviation of the mouth was serious. She additionally clarified that she has tears when she eats and does not have any sentiments in the correct side of her face.

I inquired as to whether I could treat her loss of motion alongside her hypersensitivity medications. She disclosed to me yes, however I don’t expect any outcomes since I have taken a stab at everything under the sun (counting needle therapy) throughout the previous 13 years.

I began a meeting and exam, while she was discussing her issues and effect of the facial loss of motion on her life, particularly social life. (She had the stroke at age of 28). I clarified what I would do including insights about needle therapy, meridians, and qi. She lay on the table and tuned in to my monolog about needle therapy with no inquiries.

Pros and Cons of Watching Television

Many of us love watching TV especially during our free time and if we don’t have anything to do. We like watching TV while eating our favorite snacks or hanging around in a friend’s place. Either way we are entertained when we watch TV. There are many different programs we can watch on TV depending on our mood and our personality. Some love watching comedy and talk shows while others particularly kids and those who are young at heart love watching cartoons on Cartoon Network or Disney channel.

But then, watching TV has its advantages and disadvantages. Experts say that too much watching of TV especially among children is not good for the health and the mind. TV can be entertaining and informative yet at times it can be damaging and harmful.

Below are the Pros and Cons of watching TV.

Pros:

1.) Entertainment and Laughter

We are entertained by shows we love to watch. We laugh at things we find funny and comical in the TV program we are watching. We also love to dance or sing along with celebrities we see on TV and some of us even copy their dance moves and singing styles.

2.) Information and How-To

We learn a lot of information about places and people that we usually don’t learn on magazines, books and newspapers. There are travel shows that show us beautiful places in the world and inform us the culture of different countries which can be a great help especially if we are planning to travel. We also easily learn how to cook new recipes by watching cooking shows and we can learn doing some other stuff through programs that show step-by-step procedures of performing a particular work, exercise or other interesting stuff.

3.) Improve Memory and Easy Learning

We usually take note of the time schedule for our favorite programs especially if it is only shown once or twice a week. We tend to store and recall the things that recently happened in our favorite show before the next episode will be shown on TV. This will help enhance our memory which we can apply on our daily life. For children, it is easier to learn math, science, alphabet and other subject matters if someone can show them how to do it like counting, identifying objects and a lot more. Educational TV shows are available for children to watch and learn.

4.) Bonding With Family and Friends

Watching TV is a great way to bond with family and friends especially on weekends. You can laugh and discuss things that you see on TV. That can be really fun.

5.) Awareness and Alertness

Weather reports and current news on different parts of the worlds can make you aware of what is happening outside your country. You can also be alert when there is an incoming typhoon in your area and that can help you get prepared.

Cons:

1.) Decline in creativity and imagination.

TV shows including commercials have tendency to share their creative works on us and impart their ideas and opinions on us which is not favorable and can lead to a decline in our creativity and imagination since we can not think on our own since creative stuff are readily available and shared to us.

2.) Health problems

We usually eat junk foods or any of our favorite snacks while watching TV. This is not good for our health because we tend to eat a lot while we are sitting down facing the television. This can lead to obesity since we don’t move a lot when we watch TV. This can also lead to other serious ailments caused by eating a lot and moving less.

3.) Makes people lazy

Most of us get hooked when watching programs of our favorite TV channel. We sometimes even forget to do our work or other important things because we got engaged in the show we are watching. Some people forget to do their household chores because they would rather watch TV than work.

4.) Some shows don’t teach good values.

There are TV programs that do not teach good values particularly to children. Instead of teaching them good deeds they even imitate, re-enact or spoof important things happening around us which is not good for children to watch.

To sum up, in watching TV you should choose and monitor the TV programs that you and your children should watch. Choose programs that can help you learn and grow as a person. You should also limit the time your children spend in watching TV. The maximum number of hours small kids should watch TV is 3 hours while for teenagers you should make sure they watch good shows only when they are done with homework and projects.

The Pros and Cons of Group Holidays

When I was 17 my friends from college and I went on a group holiday to Ibiza. It was a week of excessive drinking, falling out and broken ankles. Upon our return out of 12 of us only 4 were still talking to each other. Until recently that experience was my only one of group holidays and I was always very dubious. Family group holidays are a slightly different kettle of fish and have the potential to be even more troublesome.

So what are the pros and cons of a group adventure? The cons are fairly obvious:

  • It is harder to make decisions meaning simple things like eating become a massive argument.
  • Travelling with people you know and in some case don’t know can put a strain on your personal space. It’s difficult to find ‘alone’ time on holiday.
  • It can prohibit freedom. Trying to get a large group somewhere or to do something is tiresome and sometimes you do just want to go wandering down an interesting laneway.

The pros:

  • Shared experiences. Have you ever been on holiday with your boyfriend/girlfriend and then tried to explain your amazing trip to your friends? Well often they lose interest after the 90th photo. Travelling with them means lifelong memories that will bond your forever.
  • There’s someone else to rely on. If you get into trouble you’re surrounded by your close friends and/or family who will help you out whether that’s sitting in a Greek hospital while your broken foot is mended or lending you some cash.
  • Safety. As with the above groups are often safer than travelling alone, Thieves and pickpockets are less likely to target you if you’re with a group of men and women.
  • It can work out cheaper. Booking in bulk and usually for groups of 10 more can result in a nice discount and you don’t need to worry about single supplements.
  • Travelling in groups allows you to do things you might not get to do otherwise. Say, for example, your husband loves trekking and you don’t, you can travel with friends somewhere else to say, lie on the beach or visit India. You don’t miss out and neither does he.

Are there any destinations which lend themselves to the group experience? Yes lots. Ever wanted to climb Kilimanjaro? Well the majority of people who trek are in either a group of friends or social club, or they’re singles who are out together in a group through a travel company. Trekking is a solo pursuit to some extent but you still need other company trekking alongside just in case. If you decide to climb Kilimanjaro you will need a guide to show you the way. There are lots of holiday companies that offer Kili trips and they will either let you book as a group of friends or as a single. You will then end up in a group of other single trekkers who you can rely on for the duration of your trip and I’ll bet become lifelong friends with.

Away from trekking, long trips to developing countries or activity holidays also lend themselves to group holidays. A week in Andorra rafting, cycling and walking is a week best shared with your partner, friends or family. If you are a single passenger then try an adventure company as they will no doubt run a solos trip meaning you can make friends there. The ongoing/round-the-word/gap year trip can be daunting alone as much as we might think we want to do it. Places like India, Thailand or Peru are hot destinations for groups of friends, school groups and solo travellers alike. The ‘foreigness’ of these places means most of us feel happier with a group of travellers than alone.

With all of the above in mind and my recent climb to Kilimanjaro I have to come to the conclusion that while we’d all love to go it alone, going together is actually more fun and safer. A shared moment is a living moment and not one you might doubt later.

Why Do People Travel?

Can you imagine what is life without traveling? Is it possible? Whatever your reason is, traveling is a part of people’s life. We all travel. The reason behind that is up to you.

There are different reasons why people travels:.

1.) Most People Travel because they want to see their families and friends who live far away. Invitations from families and friends are seldom so you will decide to travel just to see them.

2.) People Travel because they want to see their soul mates. Some people believe that there is only one person for them and if they haven’t had much luck searching in their area, they figured it out that even though there are millions of people around the world, they can still find it in other place.

3.) People travel to seek for work because they want to experience how to work from another place. We must admit that earning money is hard and some people decide to work abroad because they are looking for greener pasture. Other place pays bigger rates than their own place. We may also say that their expertise is not favorable in their own place. Unfortunately, they have to leave their families for awhile for a job opportunities abroad.

4.) People travel because they want to learn others cultures. They want to see the difference between their culture and other cultures. They want to learn others culture because for them traveling is fun while learning. One particular thing about the culture is the food. They want to know how food is prepared and how it is done. Obviously, we all love to eat.

5.) People travel because they are writers. They want to give the readers relevant article to their readers especially when they are making story in that particular place.

6.) People travel because they want to see all beautiful scenery of different countries. Others would want to take pictures because it serves as souvenirs.

7.) When opportunity arise, it is hard to decide whether to leave your family and open a business far away your place. Some businessmen would rather put up business in other place because they want gain and it is more profitable than staying in their place. Business is nothing without profit.

Traveling is not only for rich people. Whether you are poor or in the middle class, you can travel as long as it fits your budget. Some travel for their goals, some travel for fun and relaxation and some travel for experience.

Best Travel Tip For Being Your Own Travel Agent

The other day I overheard a conversation between two women discussing their summer holiday plans. One was telling the other that she had gone to her local travel agent and asked for a cheap package holiday in Spain. The agent had quickly managed to find a holiday that suited and the lady booked it immediately.

The other woman said that she wished she could do the same but had been unable to find a travel agent who could help. Apparently, someone she knew recommended Northern Cyprus to her. The description of its climate, fabulous beaches, beautiful scenery and welcoming local people deeply appealed to her but she had been unable to find any travel agent offering package holidays there. The person who recommended Northern Cyprus to her explained how it was possible to book flights and accommodation online but she felt apprehensive about not going through a travel agent.

I was quite taken aback at hearing this admission of total dependency on travel agents and ignorance of Internet travel sites. After all, this was 2008 in the U.K. where traditional travel agents have long since been marginalised by online travel sites. Yet, as the conversation developed it became apparent that neither woman knew anything about what resources the Internet offers in this respect.

It got me thinking about how many other people there were around who need tips on organizing travel online and when I got home I decided to write down the following seven steps for them.

  • Step 1: Finding out about the travel destination – Open Google and type into the search box, the name of whatever country or general area you want to holiday in, followed by the words “travel information” or “travel guide”. For example; “Spain travel information”. Browse several of the sites your search throws up and then decide which ones give you the best travel tips relevant to your holiday needs.
  • Step 2: Deciding on the actual resort – Use the best sites you find from step 1 to decide which resort or locality offers you most of what you want for your vacation. For example, localities with secluded beaches or beaches with lots of facilities, resorts that have plenty to keep the children occupied or quiet villages in scenic locations, etc. Having familiarised yourself with all that you want to know about the resort or locality, ascertain the nearest airports (or other relevant transportation centres).
  • Step 3: Finding suitable accommodation – When you have found some resorts that satisfy your criteria, look for suitable accommodation in them. This may require typing a new search term into Google because the sites you have looked at so far may not have sufficient detailed information about specific accommodation in a given locality. They may however have some links to other sites that do. If so, check the links out before starting a new search. If you do need to do a new search, the best search term to use would be something like; Name of resort or locality followed by the word “accommodation”. For example if after researching southern Spain, you had decided you liked what you had read about Mojacar as a holiday resort, you would type; “Mojacar accommodation”. Here’s a tip worth remembering: you may need to refer back to the other website pages that you have already opened so keep them open by doing your accommodation search in a new tab. In case you don’t know about using tabs, take a look at your browser tools options and learn how to set your browser up so that you can open new pages in new tabs.
  • Step 4: Checking cheapest flight availability – When you have ascertained that accommodation exists in your chosen locality, the next step is check out what flights (or other transportation) is available to get you to the resort. Open another tab on your browser and this time type in the search term, “cheapest flights” followed by the name of nearest airport. If there are other, more distant airports that you would be prepared to consider, you might want to run separate searches for each airport. Spend time on checking for flights because quite considerable variations in ticket prices exits, not only from flight operator to flight operator but also from one airport to another even when they are more or less the same distance from your departure airport and operated by the same company. Very significant price variations will also be found by trying different departure and arrival dates.
  • Step 5: Provisionally book accommodation – Assuming that you establish the availability of flights (or other transportation) at the time you want and within your budget, you will be in a position to provisionally book accommodation. Return to the browser tab you left open with the websites providing accommodation details and follow the instructions for contacting the person or organisation offering the accommodation. Sometimes this will be an automatic online process and sometimes you will need to send an email. Submit the dates you have decided upon from the flight availability research. You will not normally be asked for a deposit at this stage but if you are, inform the accommodation owner that you want them to provisionally hold the dates until after you have booked your flight.
  • Step 6: Booking your flight – Having received confirmation that the accommodation is available for you between the selected dates, return to the website where you found the cheapest flight deal and book your outgoing and return flights. Very occasionally you might be unlucky and the flights on the selected dates are no longer available. If so you will need to select new dates and redo step 5.
  • Step 7: Confirm Accommodation – Once you have your flight has been booked you are in a safe position to confirm your accommodation booking. Usually, this will require that a deposit is paid, either online or by bank transfer. Either way, the balance is usually paid upon arrival at the accommodation.
